Great System For Outside Backflow Prevention

I have a basement that I rent that got flooded with 5 inches of sewer when the main sewer line backed up during a heavy rain. Luckily the new tenants weren't living there yet, but had moved some of their stuff in that did get damaged. I think they weren't properly maintaining the sewer lines which allowed it to happen as there had been rains in the past that did not back up. The city brought in a restoration co to tear apart and rebuild the place so it looks good now, but I don't want to go through that again, so I decided to put one of these in. i felt it was the only type that would work because I had to put it outside. The toilet was right against the wall where the drain went out so I could not put it inside. The line was over 6 ft deep were I needed to install it, and couldn't leave any kind of access hole like the other kinds required and didn't want to crawl down in a hole to inspect and maintain it. I spent days digging and got a hole big enough to work in. I had to get a 6 in pipe and cap for the outside at a plumbing store as the big boxes don't have that big. This worked amazing, and was the only type that would work for me. I can take the cap off and pull up the pipe with the flap on it to check and make sure it is ok, and change it out if needed. I would highly recommend this system for someone needing to put in a backflow preventer outside. It really looks like it would do the job if there was another backup. Honestly, I don't know what I would have done without this system.
