Like the seat and lid design/shape. Covers fit over lid better than on similar model Bemis.Bought new Kohler in 2006 and another in 2008. Both units lid/seat dampers failed after 2 years.Just purchased hinge kits (1150464) ... a bit pricey at 17.50 ea. + shipping. Hopefully this is a revision and a permanent fix. Seems this defect should have been corrected at no charge.(Have seen no issues with Bemis dampers.)
The seat installed fine and worked well. Closes very quietly. The issue we had was with the shape. It is almost a bowl shape with sharp edges. It cut off circulation to the rest of your legs. I have taken it back off of the toilet becaue we could not stand the way it felt when using it.
