I am a professional service plumber of 40 years. When pulling a Moen cartridge (especially brass cartridges that have been in for many years) it is not uncommon to pull the center stem of the cartridge out of the outside cartridge casing even when using a proper puller for the Moen 1225 cartridge. I have been using this tool for the last 10 years to pull the casing out of the valve body in those situations where the stem pulls out. This tool has been invaluable in saving me time and my customers money by avoiding unnecessary faucet replacements. Excellent tool! I gave 4 stars only because this tool has numerous loose parts and it would be nice to have a case to keep everything in.
