Use a little plumber's dope to make sure the seals are tight. Turns easier than the non-replaced, original cartridge.

This item is great. It's in the original Mfg. packaging and was delivered in a snap. I needed one but replaced both hot and cold and ordered a third to have as a ready-to-go since I have eight such fixtures. Very simple to install. Shut the stop valve and drain the supply line before you remove the old cartdridge. It will keep water from filling the cavity that holds the cartridge. No good reason to have stagnant water trapped in the cartridge housing when you re-assemble.
I purchased non-Moen cartridges at a home improvement store. One was very difficult to turn and the other had very poor flow. So, I put the old carts back in and ordered Moen replacements. They work great! I explained this at the home improvement store and they gave me my money back.
Very easy to change out and very durable.
